She was extremely dedicated to her career and always went above and beyond. After her retirement from the school district, she still would go back and train the new staff. Not only was she dedicated to her career, she was also dedicated to her church. Burnetta was a long time member of St. Anthony’s Church. She was a Eucharist Minister and was extremely proud to help keep the church looking beautiful by volunteering her time cleaning. She also enjoyed volunteering with Hospice of San Joaquin.
Burnetta was a loving wife, gracious mother and the type of grandmother who would be rough and tumble with her grandsons and would often get down and wrestle with them. She never missed her grandchildren’s sporting events and made her children and grandchildren her number one priority in her life. She was a free spirit who loved going on cruises with her husband and enjoyed tending to her garden. She was a Godly woman, never passed judgement on others and made friends with everyone she met. Burnetta will be missed greatly by all of those who were blessed to know her and call her their friend.
