Carolyn Jeanne (Sickler) Gaynor, 70, entered into rest on April 20, 2017 in Manteca. She was born in San Francisco,  CA on February 17, 1947.
   Carolyn leaves behind her loving husband of 50  years, John Gaynor of Manteca, her children Leslie Roy (Michael) of Clovis, Kathleen Driggs (Brian) of Madera, Michael Gaynor (Lisa) of Oakdale and Julia Channel (Darin) of Roseville. Carolyn was blessed with eight grandchildren: Jacob, Michaela, Gabrielle, Carson, Hayden, Jonah, Westin and Graysen.  In addition she has two surviving siblings, Andrew Sickler (Kristie) of Minden, NV and Matthew Sickler of Manteca and many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Mary Sickler; sisters, Margaret and Teresa, and brother Dan. 
   Carolyn was a Manteca resident since the family moved  here in 1957.  She was in  the first 8th grade graduating class from St. Anthony’s School and would go on to graduate from Manteca High School.
   She worked as a bookkeeper most of her life, but would finish her career as an assistant in religious education at St. Anthony’s and was also a Eucharistic minister. Carolyn was a wonderful seamstress and talented quilter. She enjoyed playing bridge and golfing on sunny days. She loved her family dearly and adored her grandchildren.
   Carolyn and her husband John shared a true testimony of love. She will be remembered as a loving wife, amazing mother and a proud grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Gaynor family. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary immediately following at 7:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. 
   A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca. She will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon, CA.
