Charles A. Stevens, 90, died on Sunday, March 22, in Manteca. He was born on April 8, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska. He lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, for 22 years and Manteca for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps/ Air Force veteran. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and machinist. Charles enjoyed golf, poker and volunteering at the Manteca Senior Center.

Mr. Stevens is survived by his children, Danny Stevens of Cleveland, TN, Billy Stevens of Ripon, Caroll Hoogner of Phoenix, AZ, Marcia Hansen of Galt; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be Saturday, March 28, 2009, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Manteca Manor, 544 Eastwood Ave., Manteca.

Funeral arrangements handled by Ben Salas Funeral Home in Lodi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
