Charles Joseph Passarell, 72, entered into rest on December 14, 2010 in Manteca, California. He was born on May 5, 1938 in Frostburg, Maryland.

Mr. Passarell is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Passarell of Manteca; his father Michael W. Passarell of Frostburg, Maryland; one daughter Carolyn Burgueno and husband Ruben of Mountain House. He was blessed with 3 grandchildren: Sierra Burgueno, Thalia Burgueno and Gabriel Burgueno, all of Mountain House. Charles is also survived by two siblings: Michael F. Passarell of Creasptown, Maryland, and Robert Passarell of Cumberland, Maryland. Charles was preceded in death by his mother Genevieve Passarell and his brother Stephen Passarell.

Charles was a resident of Manteca (Del Webb) for 3 years. He retired from United Airlines as Lead Mechanic after 34 years of service at San Francisco International Airport. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force between 1956 to 1960. He was a member of the Empire Lions Club, San Joaquiners Retired United Airlines Employees Association, Masonic Lodge of Ceres, and The Gold Panners National Travelers Camping Club.

Charles Passarell will be remembered as a hard worker, a devoted husband, loving father and a very special grandfather. He will be missed.

Mr. Passarell’s services are under the direction of P.L .Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 from 10:00 am to 12 noon at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca. He will be laid to rest on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, Gustine, with full military honors.
