Kevin Mark Johnson, age 66, entered into rest on February 1, 2017 in Manteca.  He was born on January 11, 1951 in Mora, Minnesota to the late Abner and Marjorie Johnson.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda and his brother Scott Johnson.
   Kevin is survived by his brothers, Veryl Johnson and Craig Johnson both of Manteca, and his sister Lori Johnson Ayala of Manteca.  He is also survived by his nephews, Frankie Ayala and Aaron Cooper; his niece, Valerie Ayala Martinez; two great nieces, Miranda Renee Martinez and Lea Ayala; and his two beloved babies (dogs), Velvet and Chiquita.
   Kevin’s parents moved the family to California from Minnesota in 1960.   He was a resident of Manteca since 1961. 
Kevin worked at Libby Owens Ford Glass Company for several years and then became a mail handler for USPS until retirement. He was a diehard Vikings fan and attended many Viking games in Minnesota.  Kevin loved the outdoors, going camping, fishing, and hunting.  He was an artist and loved boxing. He loved to travel, especially to the ocean and many other places with his sister and mom.
   Kevin will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially his one and only sister, Lori Elizabeth, who was his best friend and he was his mom’s favorite child, which he truly was.
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Johnson family.  A visitation will be held Thursday, evening, February 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, morning February 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.  A memorial celebration of life service is scheduled for Friday, February 17, at 12noon at Manteca Presbyterian Church, 275 N. Main Street, Manteca with a luncheon reception will follow after the service.  An online guestbook is available at www.plfryandson.com.
