Maxine Brazil, 87, entered into rest on August 1, 2019 peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Memorial Hospital in Modesto, CA.
She was born June 17, 1932 in the state of Missouri to the late Charles Alfred and Ersa Mae Francis. In heaven, Maxine will join her parents, siblings, her son, Carlos Silveria Brazil and her daughter, Brenda Joyce Giem.
She leaves behind her daughter (the joy of her life), Dianna Carol Sucrese, and her son John Westly Brazil. Maxine was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She had an especially close relationship with her grand- daughter, Melissa Sucrese and her three children, Elijah, Elaina and Ethan.
She was a long time Lathrop resident who enjoyed her small town. Maxine was a rebel rouser ready to take on political issues in her community. She loved to sing country classics and dance the night away. Maxine was a trained seamstress who started her own business at a young age. She was always a woman before her time. Maxine loved a good bargain and enjoyed thrift store shopping. She took pride in all of her flowers and gardens over the years. Maxine had a soft spot for cats and dogs; and was always surrounded by animals she had rescued. She loved helping those around her and will be remembered by her giving spirit.
