Petra Angel Duenas passed away November 6, 2010, at Doctors Hospital of Modesto at the age of 79.

Petra was born December 5, 1930 in Mexico; she lived in Manteca for 50 years.  Petra was preceded in death by her husband, the late Felipe Duenas (February 1998) and her brother, the late Anselmo Duenas.  She is survived by her daughter, Rosie Perez of Manteca, son, Rudy Flores of Chico, son, Mario Duenas of Manteca, son, Peter Duenas and his wife Cindy of Modesto, and daughter Rosario Duenas Hunter and her husband Al of Ripon.  Petra is also survived by 5 grandchildren and the late Rudy Perez; and 5 great-grandchilren and the Late Richie Perez Jr..  She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Duenas of El Centro, CA.

Petra was a homemaker; she had also worked for over 30 years at Eckert Cold Storage in Manteca.  She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Manteca.  She enjoyed cooking, embroidery and spending time with her family.  She loved watching baseball and various game shows on TV.

Petra’s visitation will be Thursday Nov.11, from 1 to 7 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, CA, followed by a Rosary at 7p.m., at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca. Burial will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon.
