Richard Owen Kemptner, Sr., entered into rest on June 8, 2011, in Modesto, California. He was born to Wesley and Flora
Kemptner on October 22, 1925.

Richard was proceeded in death by his wife, Margaret and granddaughter Tiffany Brock.

He is survived by his chil-dren Rick Kemptner, Tricia Davis, and Tami Kemp, and his three siblings David Kemptner, Mary Omspoch, and Edna Senseman. He was blessed with 5 grand-children and 8 great grand-children.

He resided in Castro Valley for over 45 years, was an active member of Redwood Chapel, and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Richard enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.

His memorial service is being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. He will be laid to rest at the San Joaquin National Cemetery on June 28, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. An online guest book is availa-ble for condolences and special messages to the family at: www.plfry and-son.com.
