Suzanne Copeland, 74 years old, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 from complications of pneumonia, at a local Manteca hospital.
   “Sue” as she was lovingly called, was born November 7, 1942 in Oakland, CA.
   She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Dorothy Copeland of Piedmont, CA.
   She is survived by her brother Bill Copeland of Olympia, WA her niece Tauschia Copeland of Seattle, WA Tobin Copeland- Turner of Portland, OR and numerous cousins.
   Sue was a retired elementary and junior high school teacher of over 30 years having taught in Lake Tahoe, Manteca, and the California juvenile detention system.  She was a avid animal advocate and loved her doggies Nervi, Pluma, and Pequena.  She was very active in Tai Chi, traveled the world, raised huge varieties of succulent plants, and loved to sketch and paint. 
   She has many close friends in Manteca, sharing in her life. Rememberance donations can be given to the Pets and Pals organization.
