Vivian Marie Cardoza, 91, entered into rest on Dec. 11, 2010 in Stockton, California. She was born on September 10, 1919 in Niles, California. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis F. Cardoza, daughter and son-in-law Jean and David Lawton, her son David Cardoza and great-grandchild Branden Lawton.

She leaves behind her beloved children; LeRoy Cardoza and wife Mary of Manteca, Lucille Beebe and husband Gary of Tennessee, JoAnn Stock and husband Ron of Stockton and Mary Lou Reichmuth and husband Albert of Auburn. In addition she is survived by 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She is a sister to Audrey Woodward of Wilton.

Vivian was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and also taking care of her grandchildren in years past. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she was a member of St. Jude’s League and the Young Ladies Institute. She was also a member of The Native Daughters of The Golden West, former F.E.S.M Hall member, 4-H, Cub Scout and P.T.A. leader for Castle Elementary School where she was a Memorial Member. She was also a member of Haute Couture and the Red Hat Society.

Mrs. Cardoza’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A Rosary/Prayer service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, CA. She will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the  American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, CA, 94010-1795  or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
