In 2010 I remember reading a story about the mother of murder victim Michael McDonald. Doris Morgan was asking for people to write to the parole board to keep her son’s murderer, William Walter Nichols, behind bars. Her dedication touched my heart back then and it prompted me to write to the parole board. 

I was reading the Bulletin online last night and find that this animal is up for parole again. I wrote to the parole board today asking the parole board to do the right thing for the victims, the families, and for the community in general and deny parole. It took me just 5 minutes to write the letter. I hope every mother who sees the story will also take a moment and write. And to the victim’s mother, Doris Morgan, I would like to say that you are an inspiration to me. God bless you and your family.
