Measure G bond money hard at work

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
The City of Manteca and the Manteca Unified School District have something in common — the city has the Taj Mahal of dog parks and MUSD has the Beauty and the Beast.
The “Beauty” being the new multi-million dollar multipurpose room at Lincoln School and the “Beast” being the ugly water pipes and valves in front of the complex plastered with signs that say “don’t do this, don’t do that” that Manteca Unified Director of Facilities Aaron Bowers has had placed on them.
It’s real nice knowing Measure G bond money was spent on signs instead of safety screens.
Voters the next time they are asked to pass a bond measure might want to remember a rock star of days gone by — “Great White” — whose popular song was “Once Bitten, Twice Shy.” Hopefully people of Manteca will never get stung again with another special tax for the MUSD that provides signs to warn of dangers instead of actually taking steps to eliminate dangers.
