Upset about Republican anarchy

Editor, Manteca Bulletin
As I have watched the Republican party (my party) slip to lower and seedier tactics I have become increasingly embarrassed to call myself a Republican. The kinder, gentler nation advocated by Ronald Reagan has been replaced by a spoiled, crude, intentionally obnoxious crowd of juveniles that I no longer recognize. They have displayed the ugliest behavior imaginable and have set a tone that in decades to come, will certainly be directed back at our own candidates. And we will deserve it.

Our Republican Leadership has called the president a liar on National TV. They have incited people with “kill” signs on the balcony at the capital. They have shouted down politicians with opposing views at town hall meetings. This is not Democracy, it is anarchy. It is dangerous and can only lead to the violence suggested by our new “leaders,” Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. If you are not embarrassed by this, then you cannot possibly be a Republican. You are just a damn school yard bully!
