Two-time reigning state champion Sonora (2-3, 4-5) trailed 21-0 at halftime on its home turf and 28-6 after three quarters before making things interesting. Jeremy Snyder hit Pete Lawson III for a 7-yard touchdown in the final minute, but Ripon was able to recover the ensuing onside kick and run out the clock.
