CARSON  (AP) — Marques Rodgers ran for three touchdowns and Adoree Jackson caught two touchdowns and ran for another as Gardena Serra defeated Oakdale 42-15 in the California State Division II Championship Saturday night.

The Cavaliers (14-2) won their second state title in four years.

Jackson scored on a 78-yard run down the left sideline on a fake punt in the third quarter for a 42-0 lead. He slipped behind the defense for a 50-yard scoring reception and delivered the highlight of the game when he caught a short pass from Jalen Greene, broke two tackles and was somersaulted into the end zone to make it 35-0 at halftime. The 78-yard run was an all-divisions record for longest rushing TD.

Rodgers scored on runs of 1, 27 and 57 yards in the first quarter for a 21-0 lead. Greene also threw a pair of TD passes.

Serra totaled 357 yards of offense in the first half. Oakdale was held to 111 total yards in the half despite having the ball for 16:03.

Nikk Ryan and Marcus Northcutt scored touchdowns for the Mustangs (14-2), playing in their first state bowl game. Northcutt led all runners with 158 yards on 28 carries.
