MODESTO — Medalist Arianna Pale led East Union to a dominant Valley Oak League-opening win Thursday at Dryden Park Golf Course, where the Lancers downed Central Catholic 273-356.

The fourth-year senior scored an 8-over 44.

Alizae Farias was overall runner-up with a 53. Kaylee Brown added a 55, Eva Diaz a 59, and Vivi Bonetti and Michaela Tarr each carded a 62.

Scarlett Meyers paced Central Catholic with a 61.

East Union next faces Sierra at Manteca Park Golf Course on Tuesday.
