Lancers remain unbeaten with shutout of Sierra

The East Union frosh-soph soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 5-0 home win over Sierra Tuesday.

Michael Barbosa had a pair of goals, while Jairo Baires, Colon Schall and Jordan Kron had one each.

East Union has outscored its Valley Oak League opponents, 26-1.

“My goal is that they have fun,” EU head coach Victor Polanco said. “They work well as a team, I’m happy for them.”

Manteca 10, Central Valley 1

Niko Gonzalez scored four goals on six shots and set up a pair of teammates in the Buffalo drubbing of CV.

Giovanni Marin had two scores, while Ricardo Marin, Oral Nunis, Charlton Shankar and Nacho Valdovinos added one each.

Cesar Reyes, Cameron Crippen (two), and Ricardo Marin (two) all were credited with assists.

“We are running on all cylinders,” Manteca head coach Geno Geerlof said.

Manteca (4-0 VOL, 8-0) overall hosts Sonora Monday.
