Ripon’s sixth-seeded softball team was stunned by No. 11 Lincoln 10-3 Wednesday in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division V Tournament.

The difference was a six-run rally in the third inning by the visiting Zebras (15-12-1), who trailed 2-0 until that point.

Ripon (27-9) scored a run in each of the first two innings but could not recover from five errors.

Mikayla Dietrich scored two of Ripon’s runs and batted in the other. Her double was the only multi-base hit of the day. Addison Naranjo went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI.

The Pioneer Valley league champion Zebras (15-12-1) square off with No. 3 Sutter on the road.
