WATERFORD — Lathrop High continued its successful preseason run through the junior varsity circuit Saturday in the Wingo Tournament.
Seventeen of the 29 Spartans that competed placed, and six of them earned championships.
Luis Oregel remains undefeated with an 11-0 record at the 125-pound division and claimed his third tournament title. Jeremy Asican (112), Andrew Aquino (119), Christian Pena (135), Chris DeGuz,am (140) and Mark Maynard (160) also took first.
Lathrop’s runner-up finishers were Omar Guzman (140), Javann Young (145), Oscar Tapia (152) and Dennis Johnson (171). Kevin Howard (119), Barry Bautista (125) and Myles Romo (140) each took third.
Rounding out Lathrop’s placers with fourth-place finishes were Jared Weiler (112), Elijah Cash (135), Wilmer Alvarez (171) and Patrick Insogna (285).
Mia Ramirez poured in 15 points to lead the way, and Gabby Gaxiola pitched in 10.
Alyssa Gonigan led all players with 18 points.
Guillermo Nunez and Jayson Manuta produced 17 and 13 points, respectively, and Emmanuel Elijah pulled down 20 rebounds.
