Siddall’s homers buoy Ports victory

SAN JOSE (AP) — Brett Siddall hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning, leading the Stockton Ports to a 6-4 win over the San Jose Giants on Tuesday.

San Jose had a runner on second in the bottom of the ninth, but Jalen Miller grounded out to end the game.

The home run by Siddall scored Sandber Pimentel and Collin Theroux to give the Ports a 5-2 lead.

The Ports tacked on another run in the eighth when Siddall hit a solo home run.

San Jose saw its comeback attempt come up short after Jacob Heyward hit a two-run double in the ninth inning to cut the Stockton lead to 6-4.

Pat Krall (4-1) got the win with three innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while San Jose starter Domenic Mazza (3-5) took the loss in the California League game.

For the Giants, Kelvin Beltre singled three times.
