SAN JOSE (AP) — Collin Theroux hit two home runs and drove in five runs, as the Stockton Ports defeated the San Jose Giants 11-5 on Thursday. The Ports swept the three-game series with the win.
Theroux hit a solo shot in the fourth inning off Mac Marshall and then hit a grand slam in the fifth off Peter Lannoo. Brallan Perez singled twice, scoring two runs in the win.
Stockton starter Wyatt Marks (2-0) picked up the win despite allowing three runs and six hits over five innings. Opposing starter Marshall (0-6) took the loss in the California League game after a rough outing in which he allowed six runs and seven hits over 4 1/3 innings.
Jacob Heyward homered and singled, scoring two runs for the Giants.
