With the Lathrop Jr. Spartans varsity leading the Manteca Cowboys 20-6 at halftime, the Central Valley Youth Football and Cheer contest was called Saturday due to the Cowboys being unable to continue because of injuries at Dino Cunial Field.
Zyann Reyno (four carries, 69 yards) scored two touchdowns for Lathrop and Logan Martinez (four carries, 54 yards) added one touchdown.
Palo Flores made four tackles for the Spartans and Knneth Certuche two.
Manteca’s Jaxon Coenenberg threw a touchdown pass of 14 yards to Aiden Howe (five carries, 50 yards) and Ernesto Cruz gained 35 yards on three carries.
Tracy Buccaneers 20, Manteca Jr. Buffaloes 8
Vinny Diaz broke loose for a 79-yard touchdown run for the Jr. Buffaloes in the third quarter at Guss Schmiedt Field.
Diaz gained 130 yards on 11 carries with offensive contributions from Navi Murillo and Aizen English.
Manteca’s Aizen English made eight tackles and an interception. John Ellis made six tackles with five apiece for Navi Murrillo and Israel Juarez and four each for Grant Catalano and Aiden Freitas.
Junior varsity
Jr. Spartans 33, Cowboys 0
Dominic Ramos gained 139 yards on eight carries for the Jr. Spartans with touchdown runs of 15 and 45 yards.
Lathrop’s Ethan Jones gained 85 yards on six carries with scoring runs of 8 and 19 yards. Jordon Romo (two carries, 20 yards) added a 10-yard touchdown run.
Josiah Lopez (four tackles) and Dominic Ramos each made an interception for the Jr. Spartans.
Mateo Gavino, A.J. Aguirre and C.J. Stevens paced the Manteca offense.
Ruben Cedano paced the Buffaloes with seven tackles. Ivan Torres added six stops, Aguirre four and German Patron three.
Rookies
Cowboys 16, Jr. Spartans 9
Jasean Baker tallied the lone touchdown for the Jr. Spartans on a 73-yard run.
Baker tallied 89 yards on six carries with Josh Certuche contributing on offense.
Lathrop’s Rory Rodriguez made four stops and Liam Sipp three. Certuche added an interception.

Lathrop’s Isaac Certucci racked up more than 200 all-purpose yeard.
Certucci (seven carries, 158 yards) scored on runs of 3, 70 and 76 yards along with a 70-yard touchdown reception from Aiden Teramu.
Giovanni Sanchez led the Jr. Spartans defense with eight tackles and Nicolas Stevens added six.

Andrew Cypert had 40 yards rushing and five tackles for the Cowboys, Austin Chaney added 71 yards and four tackles and Ezekil Mendez made five tackles.

Manteca’s Brixxton Fryer and Carter Louis combined for five touchdowns and more than 250 yards.
Fryer (nine carries, 153 yards) scored on runs of 18, 46 and 48 yards and Louis (four carries, 102 yards) added touchdown runs of 23 and 70 yards. Angelo Lopez added the other Jr. Buffaloes score on a 23-yard interception return.
Louis made four tackles and Easton Franco four.

Varsity
Ripon Chiefs 36, Hilmar Packers 12
Landon Viss scored three touchdowns for the Chiefs at Hilmar High.
Viss scored two rushing touchdowns and one on a pass from Mason Dotson. Hudson Rushing and Jacob Dominguez each added a touchdown.
Austin McDowell and Jayden Costa led the Ripon defense.
Junior varsity
Ripon Knights 29, Modesto Rams 0
The Ripon defense did not allow a first down at Downey High’s Chuck Hughes Stadium.
Shooter Bruns paced the Knights defense with six tackles and a safety. Robert Fletcher made five stops with four apiece for Adrien Anaya, Eli Perez and Keagan Huevel and Eli Van Duyn blocked a punt. Luke Sanders, David Wegner, Austin Brown were a constant disruption in the Rams backfield.
Ripon’s Jharon Jackson (nine carries, 38 yards) scored two touchdowns, Keagan Heuvel scored on touchdown and Tyce Thompson added a 36-yard touchdown run.
Daniel Teicheira, Tristan O’Brien and Don Fletcher all contributed to the Knights offensive ground game.

Ripon’s Eli Browne scored four touchdowns.
Browne (seven carries, 127 yards) scored on runs of 28, 38, 43 and 48 yards. Lucas Durao returned the second-half kickoff 79 yards for a touchdown. Mearl Thompson and Elijah Hernandez contributed to the Knights offense.
Ripon’s Colton Wegner made seven tackles, Jaxson Quilantang four with three each for Durao (interception) and Jackson Rubio (Fumble recovery).
Chiefs 32, Packers 0
The Ripon defense forced five turnovers, including interceptions by Tyson Santiago and Lincoln Reynolds.
Titus De La Torre once again anchored a sturdy effort on the defensive line, playing a key role in maintaining the shutout.
L.J. Santiago led the Chiefs offence that racked up nearly 400 yards. Brady Sarratt passed for 80 yards with a touchdown pass to Anthony Molson.
Junior novice

Ripon used a balanced attack in the win.
Zachary Reynolds hit Benjamin Bowman for the Chiefs with Jaxson Beck adding a 46-yard touchdown run and Gabrial Gutierrez’s another touchdown run.
Bruno Galveo and Jayden Costa paced the Ripon defense.
Rams 24, Knights 14
Gil Rangel and Ben Holfman each scored for Ripon
Rangel tallied four carries for 77 yards and five carries for 55 yards. Grayson Campbell added eight carries for 80yards.
Holfman led the Knights defense with six tackles with Rangel and Michael Ward adding four tackles each and Nicolas Rangel three. Malachi Clayton, Walter DeJong, Hudson Browne and Michael MacKneilage all contributed on defense.
