TRACY – When it comes to looking at a new car, the 2013 Sentra might be considered a solid bet.

And for good reason: It’s nicely valued with an aerodynamically built design, making for better fuel efficiency, not to mention reliability.

“There’s also more rear seat room,” added Tom Cox, fleet manager at Tracy Nissan, 3195 N. Naglee Rd.

He also likes the sporty LED running lights which accents the front halogen headlights, the push-button ignition, and the gas mileage on the SR model.

This compact is capable of getting 39 miles per gallon on the highway, and 30 mpg in the city.

Powered by a 1.8-liter dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine, the 2013 model was deemed “the most innovative Sentra ever” by Nissan.

The Sentra also comes with eco and sport drive modes, front and rear stabilizer bars, and continuously variable transmission.

The SR model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, and safety features consisting of driver and front passenger air bags/side-impact and curtain air bags, lower anchors and tethers for children, anti-lock braking system, vehicle dynamic control, and tire pressure monitoring system, to name a few.

For comfort and convenience, this Sentra is equipped with an air conditioning system with in-cabin micro filter system, six-way adjustable front seats, premium sport cloth seats, power windows with one-touch up/down features, and an AM/FM/CD/auxiliary-in audio system with six speakers, and 60/40 split fold-down rear seats.

The exterior includes the sporty frontrear fascias and grille, lower body side sill extensions, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tip finishers, and fog lights.

As for options, the Sentra can be had with Sirius XM satellite radio, smart auto headlights, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, a 4.3-inch color display screen, USB port for iPod and other devices, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and rear disc brakes.

The Nissan-connect navigation system, 5.8-inch color touchscreen display, Nissan voice recognition, and Navigation traffic and Navigation weather reports are among the Sentra extras.
