The Kia Optima is considered a midsize sedan built to be unlike any other of its kind.

So what does that say about the premium touring package SX model?

This midsize happens to be a stylish car that features 18-inch tires sports designed alloy wheels (red brake calipers), 2.0-liter turbo gas direct injection four-cylinder engine, and a high-end Infinity sound system, to name a few.

The 2013 model is on display in the Kia Country showroom, 1515 N. Main St. Manteca. This one came in a snow white pearl exterior with white leather-trimmed seats.

The Optima has six-speed Sportsmatic transmission, electric power steering, dual-zone automatic temperature control, remote keyless entry, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob.

The steering wheel is also equipped with paddle shifters not to mention auto-dimmed mirrors, metal pedals, and door sill plates.

The car has a variety of safety features, including dual front advanced airbags; front seat mounted side airbags; full-length side curtain airbags; three-point seatbelts for all seating positions; lower anchors and tethers for children; anti-lock brakes; electronic stability control; and hill assist control.

The other added features on the SX model are the panoramic sunroof; power folding outside mirrors; rear camera display; driver’s side memory; heated and cooled front seats; LED daylight running lights; and chrome accent spoiler.

As for fuel efficiency, the Optima SX is capable of getting 34 miles per gallon highway and 22 mpg city.
