The nation’s largest homebuilder’s Bay Area Division took top honors in ten separate categories at the 33rd annual Building Industry Association’s MAME Awards.
The annual Marketing and Merchandising Excellence (MAME) Awards were presented by the Bay Area Building Industry Association at a reception at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza in Berkeley Saturday evening.
PulteGroup won ten separate categories, including the crown jewel of the evening – community of the year – which was awarded to Woodbridge by Del Webb.
“Receiving a MAME award is considered to be the most prestigious award in our industry,” said Paul Renker, Vice President of Sales for the company’s Bay Area Division. “We are so honored to receive top honors in so many categories and especially thrilled to have two of our Bay Area communities acknowledged.”
Woodbridge by Del Webb, the company’s 55+ community in Manteca, was named Community of the Year in the competition. The community, which has sold more than 500 homes since opening in October 2006, has been a top performer in the area in terms of overall homes built in the past three years. Woodbridge also was awarded a MAME for best signage.
The hallmark of the community is its 12-acre lifestyle amenity park, complete with a two-acre catch-and- release fishing lake, walking/biking trails, bocce, basketball and tennis courts, 18-hole professional putting course and the Del Webb Softball Field with spectator seating, concession stand and electronic scoreboard. The community’s 28,000-square-foot Lakeview Clubhouse features a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, spas and running/walking track, billiards, club and craft rooms, community living room and retreat, multi-purpose rooms, demonstration kitchen, and outdoor barbecue and fire pit areas. Also receiving honors is Zephyr Gate by Pulte Homes, named Green Community of the Year.
