The Galt Market is an expansive open-air mall featuring over 400 vendors.

What’s more, it’s open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Many of the Tuesday vendors have businesses elsewhere. They can offer up wholesale orders for purchase to the public – proof of eligibility from these businesses can be found in their permits from the State Board of Equalization.

The Wednesday flea market offers up new and used merchandise, from closed out items to garage treasures and antiques.

Treat this day like any yard sale, where the best items are snatched up quickly by the early morning shopper.

The produce market on Wednesday is said to be one of the best in the region. The fresh fruit and vegetables on produce row are inspected regularly by the State Department of Agriculture and the Sacramento County Health Department.

Located at 610 Chabolla Ave., off Highway 99 the Galt Market had its roots dating back to the 1950s at the old Sacramento County Fairgrounds.

Besides bargain prices, this place has a variety of food vendors – Chinese, Mexican, Vietnamese, American, etc.
