LATHROP – The newly remodeled Baskin-Robbins store in Lathrop is throwing a big party today for its grand re-opening and the community is invited.
The event, which will be held from noon to 4 p.m., will feature many family-oriented fun activities, according to Baskin-Robbins spokeswoman Victoria Ross.
The fun will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:45 p.m. attended by several town officials headed by Lathrop Vice Mayor Christopher Mateo. Immediately following this official grand re-opening will be the presentation of a $250 donation to Lathrop High School as Baskin-Robbins’ way of supporting students’ activities in the community, Ross said.
For the rest of the afternoon, visitors and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a host of family-friendly activities including face painting, balloon twisting and the awarding of various give-away prizes. Live entertainment is expected to be featured as well during this community extravaganza.
In honor of its world-famous 31 ice cream flavors, the world-famous Baskin-Robbins in Lathrop will be selling 31-cent ice cream scoops during this grand re-opening celebration.
The Lathrop Baskin-Robbins store is located in the Save Mart shopping center at 15108 South Harlan Road just south of Lathrop Road. The store is in the same corner next to Starbuck’s and the Lathrop Chamber of Commerce office which is the building to the left when you come in at the north entrance to the shopping center.
