Deputies seize 900 marijuana plants in Lathrop

Two pot grows were discovered early Friday morning by the Sheriff’s Metro Narcotics Task Force – one on Frewert Road in Lathrop and the other in the 700 block of Fundy Court in Tracy.
Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Les Garcia, said a large sophisticated indoor grow was found at the indoor grow at the Frewert Road location.  It contained some 900 plants in various stages of growth.
Two arrests were made in the morning raid.  Angel Elola, 20 and Steven Grant, also 20, were booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
Garcia added that the warehouse grow was capable of producing about a half million dollars worth of finished product.
