Measure M oversight meeting Wednesday

With only a handful of projects remaining, the “Measure M” Citizens’ Oversight Committee will meet Wednesday in the new administration building, 2271 W. Louise Ave.

The appointed group independent of the Manteca Unified School District will look to elect officers, hear the financial update and receive a summary of the various building projects.

Still on the list is the French Camp multi-purpose facility.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the board room.

Measure M received voter approval in 2004, with the $66 million bond measure making possible the construction of several elementary schools, class rooms, multi-purpose facilities, modernization efforts and one secondary site (Lathrop High), to name a few, to accommodate the growing district.

The oversight committee has been responsible for making sure that the general obligation bond goes specifically to those projects approved by the voters.

The last time the Measure M group met was March 11, with the approval of the minutes from that meeting along with any public comments also listed on the agenda.
