Entries sought for Camden essay contest

The Robert Camden Inspirational Essay Contest is an essay contest offered to 4th-12th grade students in the Manteca Unified School District.

This year’s topic is, “If I went back in time…” Essays can be typed or neatly hand written. All entries are due no later than 5 p.m. on April 7 to the Administrative office, 322 Sun West Place, Manteca. Official entry form must accompany each entry in order to be considered. 

Entries from each school are reviewed by the GECAC judging panel and one winner from each school and each age category are selected. After the panel has chosen a winner from each school, an overall district winner is selected.

The school winners for 4th-6th grade will receive $50; 7th-8th will receive $75; and 9th-12th will receive $100. The district winners for 4th-6th will receive $100; 7th-8th will receive $150; 9th-12th will receive $250.
