STOCKTON – Stockton Civic Theatre will present “Forever Plaid”, an off-Broadway musical revue by Stuart Ross that premiered in 1990 and is now performed internationally.
The show previews on Wednesday, Sept. 7, opens on Friday, Sept. 9, and runs through Sunday, October 2,
With music and lyrics by a wide variety of artists and Music Continuity and Arrangements by James Raitt, the local production is being directed by SCT veteran Coraleta Rogers, with musical direction by Jim Coleman.
The musical was produced as a motion picture for release in 2009. The movie was written and directed by the show’s original creator, Stuart Ross, and edited by Oscar and Emmy winner Alan Helm. The show has also recently been produced and aired by PBS.
Forever Plaid will feature a $15 per seat preview on Wednesday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m. A reception with complimentary food and beverages by M&W Dutch American Bakery for opening night patrons will be held on Friday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. Performances continue through Sunday, October 2, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $21 for seniors, and $15 for students and children.
