Kids are taking over the Manteca Farmers Market at Library Park this Tuesday.
Everything will be kids related from entertainment provided by an acclaimed youth rock band to games, activities, and even information booths.
The free Manteca Convention & Visitors Bureau event runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p. m. Tuesday. It features 10 certified farmers produce booths, baked goods, commercial vendors, and food booths. This Tuesday booths will include a slew of information booths on youth-oriented organizations including Agape Villages foster family service, the Boys & Girls Club, Give Every Child a Chance, Friday Unity in the Neighborhood, and more.
There also will be free kids games.
Youth are encouraged to bring their bathing suits as the interactive water feature will be on.
Zephyr – a rock band comprised of musicians ranging in ages 9 to 13 will perform. In the past 18 months they have been a band, the group was nominated for Best in Manteca plus appeared on the Good Day Sacramento TV show.
They play everything from classic rock cover songs such as “Stairway to Heaven” to the 1990s favorites such as Nirvana’s works. Zephyr will perform on the gazebo stage under the leadership of 21-year music veteran Gordon Kennedy who teachers at Janis Music.
