Patty Reece is opening up her home for Sunday’s Orchids & Wine Fest.

This fourth annual fundraising event is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. at 1833 Snyder Lane in Stockton.

Reece is the longtime owner of New York Diamonds and current president of the San Joaquin Orchid Society, Inc.

She’s been involved in SJ Orchid Society, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving orchids and other related genera via education, since 1994.

“We teach and develop orchids, from growing to arranging,” Reece said.

As for Orchids & Wine Fest, she added that the event will feature a variety of exotic plants as part of the green house and orchid tour.

This is one of the big events benefiting SJ Orchid Society, Inc. 

The wines featured at this fundraiser were donated along with other items – any and all donations will be accepted, Reece added.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at New York Diamonds at 1167 S. Main St., Manteca.

“A drawing will be held every hour but you don’t need to be (at Orchids & Wine Fest),” she said.
