Four adult suspects involved in the shooting of a teen male on July 2 have now been arrested.

Manteca Police officers responded to Doctors Hospital of Manteca on July 2 at 12:07 a.m. after a juvenile male arrived with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Fortunately, the injury was not life-threatening.

Through the investigation, officers determined the shooting had occurred earlier at the 7-Eleven located at 1048 W. Yosemite Avenue.

Detectives, with the assistance of the Manteca Police Street Crimes Unit, quickly identified those believed to be involved. The investigation revealed that four adult suspects participated in the incident before fleeing the area.

Two suspects were arrested later that same day, and the remaining two suspects were taken into custody on Tuesday.

Manteca Police Sgt. Steve Beermann noted, “We understand our community expects timely information regarding incidents of this nature. In this case, the department intentionally did not release information immediately because investigators had identified known suspects, determined the incident was isolated, and were actively working to locate and arrest those responsible. “

“Releasing details during that critical stage could have compromised the integrity of the investigation, jeopardized the collection of evidence, and hindered the safe and timely apprehension of the suspects.”

“With all four suspects now in custody, we are able to share these details with the community. We appreciate our residents' patience, trust, and understanding as our investigators worked to bring this case to a successful conclusion while protecting the integrity of the investigation.”

All the adult suspects were booked into San Joaquin County Jail for the following Penal Code Sections: 664/187, 182(a)(1), 594(a)(1), 246, and 32310(a).

The suspects arrested on July 2 were David Ornealas, 18, and Noah Daniel Pastran, 20.

The suspects arrested on Tuesday were Brent Jordan Serbousek, 19, and Alexander Mejia. 19.

Police are not releasing information about the teenage victim.
