The Ripon Unified School District recently moved forward with plans of expanding Ripon High with the Agriculture Technology Center.
That’s the two-story Careers Technical Education building. The school board approved PBK Architects to handle that along with the three additional classrooms and parking lot improvements at the north end of the campus.
Trustees, at last month’s meeting, approved the proposal to add those three new portable classrooms.
RUSD has been looking at several options on the RHS campus to place the 24- by- 40- feet rigid steel-framed modular and relocatable building by Enviroplex Inc., including areas near the proposed Agriculture Technology Center.
It’s all part of the RUSD Facilities Assessment and Implementation master plan for CTE, which provides a variety of career pathway courses — ag mechanics, ag science, ag business, culinary arts, software & systems development, and patient care, to name a few — for Ripon High students.
