Ripon’s fall brush pick up is now underway

Many residents were left with plenty of yard work  no thanks to the recent wet and windy weather.

The City of Ripon, in this case, offers a fall brush pick-up program from now through January 31.

Each week, the Public Works crew will make an effort to gather up leaves and any tree trimmings by checking neighborhoods – the routes are not set so if the yard trimmings are not picked up this week public works will swing by the following week.

As a reminder, folks are advised to place loose trimmings and leaves in the street curbside just outside the gutter in order to clear way for the water runoff.

No other solid waste items outside of tree pruning and leaves will be accepted.

Public Works will also not accept tree stumps or branches no more than four feet long or six inches in diameter.

In addition, trash bags containing branches and trimmings are not to tied down.
