peacefully passed away on
February 1, 2017 in Ripon,
California. She was born
on June 5, 1930 in Grand
Rapids, Michigan to parents
Henry and Anna Maat.
Alberta leaves behind her
loving husband of 66 years,
Henry John Dole, her
children Rodney Dole
(Kathie) of Santa Rosa,
Norman Dole (Valerie) of
City of Orange, Warren Dole
(Carrie) of Alameda and
Bradley Dole (Jeannie) of
Vidalia, Georgia. She will
also be missed greatly by her
grandchildren, Laura Ramsey
of Alameda, Danielle Peal of
City of Orange, Michael Dole
of Irvine, Eric Dole of
Orange, Ryan Dole of
Alameda, Scott Dole of
Castro Valley, Nathan Dole
of Vidalia, Georgia, nine
great-grand children, and her
sister, Clarrisa Bohrer.
Alberta is preceded in death
by her sister, Magdalena
Swier and her brother Gerard
Maat. Alberta will be
remembered as a loving wife
to Henry,
a loving mother of four rotten
boys (she had hoped for a
daughter out the four!) and a
caring grandmother and great
grandmother. She loved
living near the bay and loved
spending time with her
Alameda friends. She was a
dedicated choir member of
Alameda Christian Reformed
Church and a strong
supporter of Alameda
Christian School. She and
Henry loved traveling
together worldwide. They
visited Hawaii, Europe, and
traveled on many cruises and
RV trips together. She will be
sorely missed.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Deegan Funeral
