Carolyn Devine, 76, entered into rest on January 16, 2021 in Manteca, CA. She was born in Waynesville, MO on June 9, 1944.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lorene Devine, sister, Betty Devine and brother-in-law Jim McCutheon.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Deborah McCutcheon of Manteca and her very close friends who were like family, The Foster family of Manteca.
Carolyn was a resident of Manteca for over 62 years. She graduated from Manteca High School in 1962 and shortly after joined the Air Force where she became a nurse during the Vietnam era. After proudly serving her country, Carolyn continued her career as a civilian nurse in the central valley area for over 35 years. In 1960 Carolyn became a member of First Baptist Church of Manteca where she taught children’s classes on Wednesday nights. She enjoyed reading, movies, weekend drives when her schedule permitted and absolutely loved spending time with her animals. Carolyn will be remembered for her kind soul, caring heart and her sweet spirit. She never question her health issues but always held on with strength to her faith in God. Carolyn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
