Darrell P. Culpepper of Manteca, CA died at home with his wife by his side on May 19, 2010.  He had been battling brain cancer.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 38 years, Michele, and his nine children:  Janelle (Richard) Paul, Christopher (Kristen), Therese (Dave) Botell, Jason, Nick, Tim (fianceé Joanna), Lynette (Nathan) Sweem, Eric, and Rebecca Culpepper.  He is also survived by his father Richard A. Culpepper, Sr., brother Richard A .Culpepper, Jr. (Marie), twin sister Darlene (Terry) Benton and foster brother Buck Culpepper.  Darrell has thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother Juanita M. Culpepper.

 Darrell was a milkman for more than 28 years, delivering dairy products to homes in Manteca, Stockton, Linden and the outskirts of Ripon and Escalon.  He loved collegiate-style wrestling and shared this passion with all five of his sons.  Camping with his family, hunting, and attending MHS football games were some of his other favorite pastimes.

Visitation will be at Park View Mortuary, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 3 to 6 p.m..  Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 1:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Park View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rebecca Culpepper College Fund at Bank of Agriculture and Commerce, Stockton, CA.
