DeeAnna Repetto Muthart, also known as DeeDee, passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 60, in Palm Desert, CA. She was born in San Jose, CA, to Robert and Arlene Repetto.
DeeAnna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jon Repetto, and her nephew, Ryun Repetto. DeeAnna and her husband, James Muthart of 21 years, lived in and raised their family in Manteca, CA.
DeeAnna was a loving wife to James Muthart and a devoted mother to her sons, Sean Swirsky (Ashley) and Carter Swirsky (Stacey), and a loving and caring step-mother to Eric Muthart (Melissa), Elisabeth Mezzanotte (Mike), and Sarah Hurlburt (Aa-ron). DeeAnna was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren (Alexander, Bradley, Joanna, Codie, Richard, Maelin, Garrett, Luca, Evren, Aiden) and with great anticipation of two more (Serenity, Teddy). She is also survived by her brother, Paul Repetto, sister-in-law, Elaine Repetto, niece, Meredith (Missy) Repetto, and nephews, Alex Repetto, Harrison Repetto, and Jay Repetto.
DeeAnna graduated from Camden High School in San Jose, CA and went on to have a successful 28 plus year career as a Software Support Engineer with PeopleSoft, Oracle, and finally retired from Workday in Pleasanton, CA. She was known as the person you could count on, and for her dedication and hard work. She enjoyed her work and those she worked with for so many years. She loved and cared for them, and considered them her extended family.
In her free time, DeeAnna enjoyed piecing quilt tops and quilting quilts. She was always creating something beautiful, and found so much joy in quilting for others. DeeAnna made quilts for each child and grandchild with a note attached "From Mom or Grandma". Also, she would make special quilts for friends and family to help remember those special people they lost. Her most joy came from her grandchildren. They were what made her smile. From her dressing up in a dinosaur costume and chasing them around the yard, to easter egg hunts, birthday parties, swim parties, and taking them on dates, she enjoyed getting their hugs, hearing their laughter and seeing their smiles. They were so special to her and always had a place in her heart. With family, was where she wanted to be. She was able to be at home with her family and pets when she passed. That was so important to her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 7, 2023, at the Manteca Golf Course, at Chez Shari, starting at noon. DeeAnna will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
