Edwin Joseph Rose, 67, was  born November 8, 1949 and entered peacefully into rest on February 21, 2017 surrounded by his wife and children after a short battle with illness.
Edwin was a life long resident of Manteca.  He attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and graduated from Manteca High School in 1967.  Ed was known best for his great love of life and anything on wheels.
Ed is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Rose, his son Scott (Diana), of Tucson, Arizona, daughter Katie (Brandon) of Salida, California, son Ryan (Katie) of Mountain House, California and daughter Taylor of Modesto, California.
He leaves behind five grandchildren; Trent, Bryant, Savannah, Tyee, and Edrich.  He is also survived by his mother Mae Barber (Jerry), brothers David Rose (Phyllis), James Rose, and sister Linda Page, as well as many loving nephews and nieces, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph Freitas Rose and Gloria Luiz Rose, as well as his father and best friend Edward Joseph Rose. We know they greeted Edwin with eager and open arms at the gates of Heaven. We will deeply miss his love and laughter.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 3rd at the MRPS Hall, in Manteca located at 133 N. Grant Street.
