Evan Dean Docter
November 17, 1937-March 28, 2017
Evan Dean Docter K

Evan Docter, of Ripon, CA entered peacefully into heaven at the age of 79.  He was born to Arthur and Geneva Docter in Orange City, Iowa on November 17, 1937.
He leaves his devoted wife of 38 years, Marge, and loving children; Dale (Michele), Dawn (Bob), Denise (Matt), and 11 fun grandchildren.  He also leaves his brother Art (Carol) Docter, sister Rita (Robert) Smits and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Art and Geneva and brothers Rusty and Jack and sister Rita (child) Docter.
After various moves, his family settled in Ripon in 1965.  His job career consisted of custodial duties in places he loved, Ripon Christian Schools, Modesto Christian Schools and  Church of the Cross and he did them with pride.
He looked forward to going on date nights with his wife and traveling to new places.  He also enjoyed traveling down to the local coffee shop on his motorized scooter every day (sometimes twice) where his coffee was waiting for him.  He also enjoyed his weekly men’s bible study group at Church of the Cross.
His grandchildren always had special connections with him, probably due to his gentle and  kind nature.  He was liked by many and loved by all.
