Her Portuguese heritage was very important to her, she was a member and past president of the MRPS, member of LUSO American and many other Portuguese organizations and lodges. She was also a member of the Square Wheelers where she and her late husband enjoyed square dancing. Ida never met a stranger, she loved to socialize and plan special events, which was evident when she and other parents
