Julie Christine Tardiff Marotz BW

On March 24, the good Lord suddenly and unexpected took a beloved, kind and beautiful person from all of us, to join her father, mother and brother in Heaven.
Julie was born in Los Gatos, California and spent many years there before moving with her family to Santa Rosa. At the young age of fourteen, she began her restaurant career at the Golden Egg Omelet House, working part time while going to school. She left Santa Rosa in 1983, to live with her uncle, aunt and cousins in Livermore, who took her into their home. She then went to work for Lyon’s Restaurant in Livermore, before eventually transferring to the Tracy Lyon’s, where she spent sixteen years combined. In September of 1984, she met her life partner, and best friend, Mark Marotz. They moved to Ripon, CA in April of 1986, where they shared many wonderful and happy years together. Julie loved her home, her town of Ripon,
her husband and all her labradors she raised thruout the years.  She went to work for Mimi’s Cafe in Modesto when they opened and spent another sixteen wonderful years.  She loved her extended family at Mimi’s and touched many lives there.   Julie was affectionately known as “Mom” “the little “firecracker”, “Julez”, “Jules”, and “the Taz”, as she could never sit still and was constantly moving, smiling, kind, caring, and happy!  She was loved by all the crew and customers alike, you couldn’t help but love her. Our Jules did not have an enemy or an unkind word for anyone in this world.  She was truly one of a kind.  She loved her home life, cooking, travel, and camping with her “pups” in the great outdoors.  Mark and Julie were always off exploring something new, road trips, surprise adventures, you never knew what was next!  She will be sadly missed by her husband Mark, her “puppy dog” Austin, and hundreds of family members and customers.  This positive attitude, caring, loving, full of life little lady, had touched so many lives throughout the years, words alone cannot describe.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ripon Community Center, 334 West Fourth St., Ripon, CA.  She is survived by her husband and puppy dog, two sisters, many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, sister-in-law’s, brother-in law’s throughout North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California.
She will be greatly and sadly missed by all her friends and family.  Please remember the good times, the happy memories, the smiling face of our beloved Julie.  That is how she would have wanted it!
“May you dance now in Heaven with your father, mother and brother, as we all will always remember you like no other!  “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear”.
