Anthony Roy “Tony” Dickerson, 55, passed away on November 10, 2019 at his home in Monrovia, California.
Tony was born on January 20, 1964 in Merced, California. He grew up in the Tracy/Manteca area, although lived in Warsaw, Missouri for several years where he graduated from Warsaw High School in 1982. Tony lived in Manteca and Stockton until 1996 when he moved to Southern California to attend college at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 2000 and started work at the California Air Resources Board as an Air Resources Engineer in the same year.
Tony is survived by his mother, Dorothy Dickerson of Manteca, sisters Cathi (Michael) Fuller of Manteca and Carrie (Mike) Willis of Portland, Oregon, brother Tuey (Lori) Dickerson of Manteca, and and his long-time partner Rob Leri of Tahoe Vista.
He is also survived by nephews Ricky (Tanner) Samudio, Nicholas (Britany) Samudio, TJ Dickerson, and his niece Cassandra Dickerson.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, William Dickerson and his grandmother Dorothy Adams.
A celebration of life will be held on December 7, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ripon Grange Hall, 827 Ripona Avenue, Ripon, CA 95366. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or any local animal shelter.
