Virginia Short, 84, died on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at St. Jude Care Center in Manteca. The former Virginia Trotter was a native of Washington. She was a resident of Manteca for 43 years and homemaker for 70 years. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Forrest of Monument, OR.
