Dick Hale should not be forgotten

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

This is my first letter to the editor as I may read the columns and have a different view but never put them into writing. I was so moved by your article on Dick Hale and the impact he has had on so many people and families in this town including me.  I thought you captured the essence of his mission here on earth.  I knew Dick for over 20 years and referred to him as Job from the Bible because he had so many challenges with health but always came back and never complained.  There were countless times I would use his life as a gauge if I even thought of complaining about anything.
I am sure the words Dick heard as he crossed into heaven were, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!
He ran a good race and fought the good fight.

I would hope the next time the City of Manteca has an opportunity to name a park or landmark that they would consider allowing the name of Dick Hale to live on and not be forgotten.
