Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
On Super Bowl Sunday the Manteca Mural Society and the Manteca Rotary Club held their 4th Annual Super Bowl Omelet Breakfast. It was another success with over 925 breakfasts served! This fun event reinforces the importance of community and neighborliness.

In addition to a good meal we have opportunities to visit and get reacquainted with our friends and neighbors. We are also very proud that these same people get to see firsthand some of the top notch young people of our community. In fact, 53 students representing all three high schools, Manteca Youth Focus and the Boys & Girls Club helped out Sunday to make the event a success! That is in addition to the 51 students who assisted in setting up for the event on Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Over 150 sponsors, raffle prize donors, and volunteers from throughout our community came together to make the breakfast a success. We owe a debt of gratitude to each and every one of you. You are always there to support our community and you are very much appreciated!

We are gratified to hear comments about the delicious food, the great service and the fabulous decorations. We thank all those who attended and joined us for breakfast. We look forward to seeing you again. We promise the event will be even better next year!

The Mural Society will use the funds raised for future mural projects. The Manteca Rotary Club will use the funds for their good work that includes community service projects, support of local organizations and scholarships.

Just remember, by enjoying an omelet with us you’re helping to support our community. Keep your “sunny side up” & we’ll see you next year!
