Brink, Duvall lead Lancers balanced effort at Van Buskirk

East Union High’s boys golfers had solid contributions up and down their lineup in a 202-292 win over Weston Ranch at Van Buskirk Golf Course Tuesday.

Will Brink and Jordan Duvall shared medalist honors with a one-over 37. Zach Couch and Kyle Davis followed with 42s, and Evan Lewis rounded out the team score with a 43. Jordan Lund’s throw-out score of 44 was eight strokes better than Weston Ranch’s top finisher, Felix Buenrostro.

East Union (5-1) wraps up the first half of its Valley Oak League schedule Thursday against Kimball at Manteca Park Golf Course.

Sierra 199, Lathrop 319

Blake Settlemoir’s 36 paced Sierra on the par-32 French Camp Golf Course.

Drew Allen and Joey Guinta contributed sub-40 scores with a 38 and 39, respectively. Matt Rose turned in a 41, and Chris Schmitt a 45.

Kimball 232, Manteca 242

Justin Morrish carded a 4-over 41 at Manteca Park Golf Course to lead Manteca (3-3, 4-4 overall), but Kimball’s Philip Simpson earned low medalist by a stroke.

Also scoring for the Buffaloes were Tim Baker (47), Kyle Howard (48), Davey Tolbert (52) and Ray Tinnin (54).

Southern League

Ripon Christian 230, Mariposa 256

The Knights (4-1) were led by Kyle Colyn’s 41 at Spring Creek Golf and Country Club.

Brothers Christian and Andrew Manes finished with a 43 and 46, respectively. Brandon Dotinga added a 49, and Danny Vos a 51.
