Top Individuals: Will Brink, East Union 72; Isaac Rellamas, Oakdale, 75; Ian Stogdell, Oakdale 81; Billy Kiriluk, Sonora, 85; Zach Couch, East Union 86; Isaac Valdez, Oakdale, 86; Jordan Lund, East Union 87; Nick Roundsville, East Union 87; Justin Morrish, Manteca, 90; Brandon Phelan, Sonora, 90; Nathan Lute, Oakdale 90.

Will Brink punctuated his decorated four-year run in the Valley Oak League with multiple titles Wednesday at Livermore’s Poppy Ridge Golf Course.

The East Union senior was low medalist with an even 72 and earned the league’s Most Valuable Player crown for a second consecutive season. He also led the Lancers to their fifth straight VOL championship in seven years.

It was a winner-take-all situation between East Union, Oakdale and Sonora — the three qualifying teams for next week’s Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV Tournament. East Union finished with a 425 to edge out Oakdale’s 430. Sonora ends up in third after posting a 460.

East Union’s Zach Couch and Jordan Lund join Brink on the all-VOL team, accumulating enough points to finish in the top eight. Four Lancers ended up placing in the top 10 of the tournament. Couch finished in a fifth-place tie with an 86, while freshman Nick Roundsville and Jordan Lund each had an 87.

The VOL will bring six individuals who are not on qualifying teams to the divisional tournament. Sierra has three representatives in Matt Rose, Chris Schmitz and Blake Settlemoir. Justin Morrish and Ray Tinnin both of Manteca High also made the cut.

The section’s Division IV tourney is set for next Monday at Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione.
